Mitosis Labs

Mitosis Labs

A human-AI interface company

AI was supposed to be for everyone. It isn’t yet.

83%of people have never used AI.[1][2]
15%have tried it, but find it hard and hand over their privacy to use it.
2%actually use it to get ahead.

That gap is turning into a permanent underclass. We started Mitosis Labs to close it, so AI is something everyone can reach, trust, and actually enjoy.

Our 3 pillars

01

Making AI intuitive

It should feel like talking to a friend who already gets you. No prompts to learn, no menus to dig through.

02

Making AI reliable and secure

One source of truth you can trust, kept private. What AI tells you is right, and what it knows stays yours.

03

Making AI fun

The tools that change lives are the ones people love to use. So we make AI something you actually want to open.

Products

Each one makes AI more human. And each is built on the one beneath it.

& WikipediaPlayful, open, and a little joyful. Knowledge and creativity you actually want to spend time with.
Making AI fun
YappyJust talk. Yappy turns a normal conversation into the way you use AI, so anyone can start from the first sentence.
Making AI intuitive
CortexOne source of truth, built from everything you know and kept private. The memory every AI can trust, and the foundation the rest is built on.

Common questions

What does Mitosis Labs build?

We build the interface layer between people and AI. Cortex turns your email, chat, documents, and app data into a private memory your AI can use. Backups keep encrypted snapshots of AI agent workspaces. The SDK connects any agent to both.

What is Cortex?

Cortex is a memory engine. Connect sources like Google Workspace, WhatsApp, and GitHub, and it links everything into a living knowledge graph. You and your AI agents can then ask it questions in plain language and get answers grounded in your real data.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your graph belongs to you. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, sources can be disconnected and purged at any time, and nothing you ingest is used to train models.

Can AI agents use Mitosis directly?

Yes. Agents connect over MCP with no auth required, a public REST API with an OpenAPI spec, or the mi CLI. Machine surfaces are documented at /llms.txt and /agent.

How much does it cost?

Plans start at $7.99 per month with a 7 day free trial. Every plan includes a monthly credit allowance for ingestion, embeddings, and enrichment. Full machine readable pricing lives at /pricing.md.

How do I get started?

Sign up, connect a source, and watch your graph assemble itself. Most people see their first answers within minutes of connecting Google Workspace.
